Gorgeous and long 19th century Ottoman shawl/towel. Finely woven cotton base in a light natural linen color. Throughout the cloth you can see bands of gold metal thread. At one end very large motifs of stylzied florals, leaves and branches done in a silk and gold metal thread.

Condition
 
Good condition overall with no holes. Allthreads intact. Colors strong and even. 
 
There are through three areas with some larger and darker stains. One area at the middle of the cloth and two small areas above the embroidery. 
 
Towel has been left in "as found" condition.
