We've carefully hand stitched this 19th century French siamoise fabric sample to a hand written 19th century French letter. 
 
The fabric is repeatin block design of what looks like a line of berries that alternate with stemmed florals and geometric shapes. Colros are shades of aubergine and blue with brown accents against a creme colored background. 
 
NOT a Full repeat. 
 
Part of a unique collection of samples that we have been saving for documentation and reproduction work.

Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Fabric shows several small holes and some damage but colors are consistant. 
 
Letter shows signs of wear and age.
