An early 1800's French cotton block print. Pine comb shaped motifs with thin leafy branches in between. Colors are olive and golden olive. I believe the fabric may be a mix of cotton and linen and reminds me very much of siamoise fabrics.

*actually five pieces of the same fabric hand seamed  together. One large piece and four small pieces along the bottom edge. You will see original selvage at some of the seams. 

Condition
 
Other than removing the fabric from an old quilt and removing loose threads left in "as found" condition. Fabric has a clean appearance with no stains. 
 
Many large and small holes and thin areas throughout. Some variaiton in color due to quilting and age.
