Decorative late 1800's French tambour embroideries. Two matching pieces. Cotton. Applique work depictting an oval shaped motif center with leafy branches surrounding the sides.
At some stage I believe the work was clipped out from it's original piece and glued to the back of the tulle netting in order to preserve and stabilize. You can see old glue residue at the back. Love the way these pieces has aged over time.
Photos are a good indication of actual color and condition.
Measuresments
Each piece measures
11.1 cm from top to bottom
The width across the middle is
9.9 cm at widest points.
Condition

Good condition with usual signs of age. On one piece you can see how a leaf section has come loose at the right hand side but just needs to be moved back into place.
