An 18th century French block print cotton Oberkampf fabric. A popular design at the time and falls into a series of fabrics with variation known as "bonne herb." Repeating motifs of groups of small flowers in yellow, pink, red and blue. Intricate background of leavy branhes and blossoms in green and brown.

Condition
For it's age in good condition with a good appearance. Down the sides and along the top edge several small holes. In the rest of the fabric small holes here and there but also small sections in good condition without damage. Good documentation piece or for small projects. No stains. Colors are strong and consistant.
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
