A late 18th century French quilt fragment. Cotton. Oberkampf. 
 
Front: Pattern "les batons rompus" intricate pattern of small stylized florals and leaves in shades of pink, lavender, green, bluish grey and creme against a golden olive back. 
 
Back: probably also Oberakmpf with lines of small circles and oval shaped medallions of petite florals in lavender.

Condition
 
Front: has one area towards one side where there are a group of holes in the fabric. Along the same edge some small holes. At one corner a larger split in the fabric. Opposite side a largish light stain. 
 
Back: good for the most part but has some splits small holes towards one side. 
 
The fragment has been left in "as found" condition.
