Probably dating from the early 1900's this hand painted panel saved from an old screen. Done on a light cotton muslin. The fabric has been hand painted with a Chinese red background. After having been painted the panel feels and behaves more like wallpaper than fabric.

Condition
 
Three small splits at the left hand side all grouped together at the side of one of the birds. Small split just down from the birds which can be seen best when held up to the light. Tiny hole next to the flowers. Some faint marks at the bottom mostly just aging.
