Probably dating from the early 1900's this hand painted panel saved from an old screen. Done on a light cotton muslin. The fabric has been hand painted with a Chinese red background. After having been painted the panel feels and behaves more like wallpaper than fabric.

Most notably a large tear/hole at the bottom. A couple of tiny holes at the top edge. One tiny hole midwar down that can be seen when held up to the light. At the sides slight darker in color due to age. 
 
Colros are good and strong for the rest and hand painting intact.
