A 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Repeating motifs of stylized paisley and small florals and leaves with scrolls. Picotage work throughout. 
 
Colors are madder red, mustard, white with an indigo blue background.

Condition
 
Somewhat distressed with some holes and a split at the right hand side of the fabric. Left hand side of the fabric in better condition but still shows a two small holes and a thin area with a split at the bottom. 
 
Colors are strong and even. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak and a long cold water wash to remove dust and dirt with those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is out aim to protect the color and integretity of our fabrics since many of them are being reproduced.
