Fun pattern in this 19th century French cotton print fabric. Stylized leaves surrounded by broken branches done in picotage. Colors are light sandy brown and white.

*actually 8 pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together. Two larger pieces and a small piece at one side. One piece is selvage to selvage so original width of the fabric is 57 cm wide.
Condition
Distressed with many large and small holes and thin areas mostly at the middle part of the fabric. At the ends the fabric is better condition sith small areas in good condition without damage. Colors have lightened with age but consistant. No stains. Some small sections in good condition without damage that would be suitable for small projects.
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
