A 19th century French block print cotton fabric. Repeating design of dimonds with small flroals that alternate with clusters of florals and leaves. A bit of picotage work around the clusters. Colors are shades of red and pink with aubergine, green, white and a bit of yellow against a tan colored background.

Condition
 
One split towards one side and two L/C shaped splits. One at the middle ther other towards one side. Some small holes and thin areas throughout. 
 
Heavily quilted at one time so you will see traces of quilt lines and variation in background color due to quilting and exposure. 
 
Colors are good and strong in the motifs and even. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
