What appears to have been part of a French provencal scarf border at one time, this 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Repeating paisley and small floral design in red, yellow and blue with a red background. 
 
Small motifs at the hand rolled and seamed edge has a full repeat. Larger  paisley motif is not complete.

Measurements
 
1 meter 25 cm in length x 10.5 cm wide. 
 
*actually two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together with seam crossing the width midway. 
 
Condition
 
Distressed with many large and small holes throughout. Colors are good, strong and consistant. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
