A 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Repeating stylized leaf design in shades of red to pink against an off white background.

*actually two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together with a smaller piece sewn at the bottom. 

Condition
 
Distresssed and heavily quilted at one time so you will see traces of quilt lines. Small holes down one side. Several small holes and thin areas throughout the rest of the fabric. Motifs are consistant and strong in color Background colr shows even soiling due to age and use. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and then lightly laundered in cold water using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to deliver a clean and pressed product when possible. We take care to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics our used for reproduction.
