A 19th century French ikat. Cotton. Blue & white in color.

Part of the ikat is 
 
14 cm wide and the other part measures 10 cm wide. 
 
Actually this piec is 
 
4 pieces all hand seamed together. Measurements due not include the aubergine colored cotton print fabric at one side. 
 
Condition
 
Wider section has a couple of small pinholes and one small light stains. Narrower section has two larger holes and a couple of small holes. Best suited for small projects. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
