A 19th century French cotton print fabric Larger motifs of florals and leaves on branches. Original color was probably a bright red but have now faded into dark tones or rosey red and terracotta with black and white accents. Backgroudn has a scrolled leaf design in two shades of charcoal and white. 
 
Full repeat but missing pieces.

Condition
 
Very distressed with many large and small holes throughout as well as many thin areas throughout. Variation in colors due to age, use and quilting. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
