A late 19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeat design of florals and leaves in shades of rosy red to pinks and gold against a black background.

55.5 cm and narrows to 36 cm wide across the top area (still has the selvage at one side) 
 
Condition
 
Very distressed with many large and small holes as well as thin areas throughout and missing pieces. Colors fairly consistant but due show slight variations due to age, use and quilting. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
