A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeating pattern with stylized blossoms. Colors are dark brown, a bit of natural red, beige and white.

*actuall two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together with the seam running from top to bottom and 32 cm in from one side. Selvage can be seen at the seam. 
 
Condition
 
Distressed with a large split from center to bottom. Several large holes, many small holes throughout as well as thin holes throughout.  Colors are strong and even.  No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
