A 19th century French quilt. All hand stitched.
One side. Cotton. Large tulip and leaf motifs. Colors are burgundy and light creme
Other side. Cotton. Groups of florals in shades of pink, shades of green and a touch of light brown against an olive colored back.
Thin layer of batting in between the fabrics.
As with most of the quilts from this period the fabrics are several panels that have been hand seamed together and usually the panels are between 80 to 90 cm wide if they are from selvage to selvage.
Photos are a good indication of color and condition.

Left in "as found" condition.
Overalll good condition the only thing to note is:
-olive side has two old hand sitched repairs at one edge.
-burgundy side has one tiny hole at one edge.
Colors are good, strong and consistant.
