A 19th century French cotton quilt.
 
One side: predominantly several pieces that have been hand seamed together in a stripe and a piece done in a plaid. Mostly light indigo blue and white with a strip along one side in dark indigo blue. Some  lovely noticeable hand stitching in a linen thread. 
 
Other side: repeating medallion shaped design in tan and beige.

1 meter 70.5 cm x 1 meter 28 cm 
 
Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition.
 
On the blue side, one tiny patch in blue and some light variation in color which may come up with a cleaning if desired. 
 
On the light brown side, two repairs, one small hole and a couple of small light marks. Some light variation in color due to age but nothing major or distracting. One small break at an edge.
