A 19th century French cotton roll print fabric. Alternating bands of abstract geometric motifs with small flroals and leaves with bands of figure eight like motifs. Colors are natural red, shades of brown and beige.

actually two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together with the seam running across the width. Smaller piece at the top of the fabric. 
 
Condition
 
Distressed with many larger and many smaller holes throughout as well as thin areas throughout. Colors are fairly strong and consistant but do show some variation due to age, use and quiliting. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
