A 19th century French cotton roll/block print. A stripe plaid with stripes of purple shades running one direction and fainter stripes of blue running the other direction. Repeating blossome design in light gold. Background color is beige.

Condition
 
Somewhat distressed with several small holes appearing throughout but mostly at the blossoms. One small stain about 1 x 1  cm in size. Bite out of one edge. Small sections in good condition without damage that could work as patches Color are strong and consistant. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
