A 19th century French quilt fragment. Many pieces that have been hand stitched and pieced together. A bit difficult to identify some of the fabrics but I for the most part cottons, linen and possibly wool. Two layers with fabrics front and back. No batting in between. Predominantl shades of brown in color.

1 meter 10 cm x 55 cm wide. 
 
Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition and not laundered. Could undoubtedly use a soaking and cleaning but wanted to leave the patina of the fabric as is and leave any cleaning and further use of the fragment up to the discretion of the customer.
 
You will see wear, distressed areas and some holes. Some old repairs one one side.
