A 19th century French silk bag. Sage green in color. Draw string closure is a gold metallic mesh cording. Around the top edge, around the center and around the bottom a silk ribbon work trim of small leaves and florals. The center has a fabric lace tulle with silk embroidery ribbon work of small florals. The bottom has an applied piece of cardborad with a makers label.

The measurements for the ribbon work would be double the width so approx. 1 meter 44 cm in total length. Width of the ribbon work trim is approx. 1 cm
 
Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
The silk is split and damaged throughout but still very decorative.  Ribbonwork trims and lace with ribbonwork embroidery in good condition.
