Beautiful 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Larger motis of tylized blossoms and leaves mixed with long stylzied leafy branches and small florals.
Colors are light bue, white and madder red with a golden olive colored background.

*please note actually two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together of almost equal size. Seam runs across the width. Orignal selvage still at one piece of the fabric.
Condition
Distressed with a line of holes running down one side. Many small holes and thin areas thoughout the fabirc. Lightly quilted at one time so you will see light traces of quilt lines.
Colors good and strong. Some very small light stains in background color which would probably lift with a deeper cleaning if desired. Nothing major.
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
