A 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Depicting birds, insects, florals and leaves. 
 
Motifs in dark terracotton, cremey yellow and blue with picotage work and some outlining done in white. Dark greenish blue background.

Condition
 
Very good condition for age. Tiny holes at one edge. Tiny pinholes that can be seen when fabric is held up to the light  Quilted at one time so you will see traces of quilt lines. The rest of the fabric in good useable condition. 
 
Colors are strong and even. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
