A very large piece of 19th century French cotton print distressed fabrics. 
 
The larger piece a tiny plaid in blue with pinstripes in light brown and white. 
 
The smaller piece another plaid in tan with stripes in white and charcoal.

*actually many pieces of the same blue plaid fabric all hand seamed together. 
 
Condiion
 
Heavily distressed with many large and small holes; thin areas and missing pieces throughout. 
 
Colors vary slightly due to age, use and quilting. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and a cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
 
It is our aim to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
