One of my favorites and shows its age and history. This 19th centry French striped fabric. Dark charcoal in color with light grey pinstripes. Has a bit of a work wear look to it.

*actually four pieces of the same fabric that have been hand seamed together with a linen thread. The stitch work is nice. 
 
Condition
 
Distressed with several small holes,  section missing down the center. A large patch and a small patch at one side. Two rather crude old darned repairs. 
 
Colors good and strong and fairly consistant. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
