Very distressed 19th century French provencal scarf. Cotton. Main center area is a solid light brown color with a floral and leaf motif at two corners facring across from each other. 
 
The border along all sides has a repeating pattern of a line of leaves and buds on the inner edge and larger motis of florals and leaves on the outer edge. Selvage at three sides. 
 
Colors are light brown, light blue, pale yellow and white.
 
Full repeats but missing pieces

Condition
 
Left in as found condition and not laundered. Very distressed with many large and small holes as well as thin areas and missing areas.
 
Clean appearance with no stains. Colors are good and even for the most part but have undoubtedly lightened with age.
