A 19th century French cotton roll print fabric. Repeating larger motifs of roses on leafy stems with smaller sprigs of rosebuds on leafy stems. 
 
Colors are rosey red, shades of pink, white, golden olive and green with a striped background in two shades of red.

Condition
 
Smaller piece in good condition. Larger pieces shows many tiny pinholes which can be seen when the fabric is held up to the light. 
 
Colors good and strong.
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
