We've carefully hand stitched this 19th century French cotton fabric sample to a hand written 19th century French letter. 
 
The fabric is a repeating roll/block design of stylized leaves and florals in rosey red to pink, lavneder and green with a yellow background.

Condition
 
Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Fabric is in good condition but has a couple of tiny thin spots and background color is soiled. Motifs have a consistant color for the most part. 
 
Letter shows signs of wear and age.
