We've carefully hand stitched this early 19th century French siamoise fabric sample to a hand written 19th century French letter. 
 
The fabric is a repeating block print design of berries with leaves and what looks like split pea pods but probably suppose to represent a stylized ribbon. Colors are light blue, brown and creme with a light brown backgoud

Part of a unique collection of samples that we have been saving for documentation and reproduction work.

Left in "as found" condition. 
 
Fabric is in good condition with consistant colors and no damage. You can see at the edges the fabric was at one time darker in color. 
 
Letter shows signs of wear and age.
