Large piece of 19th century French cotton block print fabric. Repeating design of paisley with various florals and leaves. Colors are dark brown, light blue, mustard yellow and a bit of white with the predominant background color in madder red.

Condiition 
 
Very distressed with many large and small holes as well as thin areas thoughout. Heavily quilted at one time so you will see quilt lines. Colors have faded evenly throughout. Original colors can still be seen at the back of the fabric. 
 
No obvious stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
