A 19th century French cotton plaid. Colors are an orangey red, shades of green and tan.

*please note a small strip of the same fabric has been hand sewn along one side. Original selvage can be seen at the seam. 
 
Condition
 
Distressed. with a few medium sized holes and many small holes and thing areas. Some light stains that may come up with a deeper cleaning if desired. Slight variations in color due to age and quilting. There are good size sections in the fabric without damage that would be suitable for small projects. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
