A  19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeating design of birds and various florals and leaves. Colors are shades of aubergine and shades of light green against a light beige background.

Condition
 
Heavily distressed with many large and small holes as  well as thin areas throughout. Heavily quilted at one time so you will see quilt lines. Still shows som even soiling due to age and use which may lift with a deeper cleaning if desired. 
 
The smaller piece shows many holes and thin areas. Colors vary slightly due to age, use and quilting. 
 
No stains. Colors are failry even. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
