A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Abstract motifs with a spider web shape. Stylized branches in the background. 

 

Colors are light lime green, reddish brown, brown and white in the motifs. Branches in lavender and white. Background color light tan,

 

Full repeat.

*actually four pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together. One larger piece and three smaller pieces. 

 

Condition

 

Distressed with large and small holes here and there thoughout. Background color shows some light aging which may lift with a deeper cleaning if desired.  

 

Colors are strong and even. No stains. 

 

The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to removed dust and dirt using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 

 

It is our aim to preserve the color and the integrety of the fabrci since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
