A late 1800's French cotton print fabric. Slight indienne/oriental look with alternating motifs of florals and leaves on crooked branches with long stems of bamboo. Colors are shades of red, black and a bit of yellow against a light beige background. Curtains at one time so there is a small hem along the top and bottom edge.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Measurements

From top to bottom

2 meters 89 cm

The width is

84 cm (still has the selvage along one side)

Condition

Colors are good strong and even. No holes or other damage.

Clean appearance with only a couple of tiny age spots in the main body of the fabric. A line of dark age spots along the top edge. Background color has aged a bit evenly and would possibly come even lighter with a deeper cleaning if desired.

The fabric has been giving a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and then a cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.

It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
