A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeating motifs of birds on the long branches and leaves, Picotage work in the background. 
 
Colors are natural red, tannish terracotta, dark brown and a bit of black. White background. 
 
Full repeat.

Condition
 
For the most part in good useable condition. A tear at the bottom, a hole in the bird just at the bottom. Tiny holes around the edges.   
 
Colors are strong and even. No stains. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
