A 19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeating band of blocks that alternate with a stylized blossom design. Shades of brown to beige with accent colors in a natural red.

*actually two piece  of the same fabric hand seamed together with a seam running from top to bottom. Selvage can be seen at the seam. 


Condition

 

Highly distressed with many large holes and small holes throughout as well as thin areas. Variations in color due to age, use and quilting. In addition, you will see some large splits. No stains. 

 

The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 

 

It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
