Very pretty design in this 19th century French cotton roll print fabric. Repeating large groups of florals and leaves that alternate with hanging florals that look a bit like wisteria. Smaller groups of florals and leaves in between. Thoughout the background decorative picotage work.

Colors include rosy red, pink, white, dark to light shades of lavender and golden olive. Background color is white.

Full repeat.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Measurements

From top to bottom

1 meter 30 cm

The width is

84.5 cm (still has the selvage at both sides). .

Condition

For the most part in good condition but there are some condition issues. Small group of holes at one side. One larger hole at the same side. Several tiny holes and a few thin spots which is mainly the result of the fabric being quilted at one time. Light traces of quilt lines. Some very light age spots here and there which may lift with a deeper cleaning if desired. Maybe best suited for smaller projects

Colors are strong and even.

The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.

It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
