A 19th century French quilt. Cotton. Probably much larger at one time and appears to have been and resized into a long runner.  All hand stitched.

Front side has a repeating block pattern of a stylized blossom and leaf in sky blue and white against a dark terracotta background.

Back fabric is a striped plaid in shades of brown with pinstripes in marigold, blue and creme.

Very thin layer of batting between the front and back fabrics so this piece could easily be turned into pillows or quilted handbags.

Photos are good representation of acutal color and condition.
