Very pretty design in this 19th century highly distressed French cotton fabric. Peonie shape florals and buds on leafy stems with architectual scroll work here and there in between. 

 

Colors in florals are shades of lavender to whiteand mind green with some charcoal accents. Architectual motifs in golden tan outlined in dark brown. Background color dark golden beige.

Condition

 

Highliy distressed with many large and small holes throughout and many thin areas. Quilted at one time so you will see quilt lines. 

 

Colors fairly consistant. 

 

The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 

 

It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
