A 19th century French cotton quilt fragment. Intricate provencal block designs of stylized blossoms and paisleys in rich colors of red, yellow and sky blue,
 
Back fabric is a  repeat pattern of a stylized chain in mustard with a light brown background. 
 
Thicker layer of batting between the  fabrics.

Left in "as found" condition.
 
Clean apprearance with no discoloration or stains. Front fabric in good condition with no damage. Colors are good, strong and even. 
 
Back fabric is in good condition with only two small holes at one end of the fragment and an old repair at one side.
