From the time of the Tsar this exceptional 19th century Russian gold work embroidery. Royal Russian embroidery done in a gold metal thread (very much like Ottoman embroideries) depicting two eagles with one clutching an orb and the other clutching a spector. Above the imperial crown. The shields center represent the nine provinces of Russia. Scroll work and florals around the sides. All done on an dark ivory silk. Silk is backed with cotton for stability.

The chanvre is white in color with florals in light mustard and coral.
