A 19th century French toile du jouy. Block print on a finely woven cotton. Depcting Asian motifs of a fisherman walking on some steps, a thatched covering, florals and leaves. Saved from an old screen.

Left in "as found" condition and not laundered.
 
The fabric was attached to a screen at one time with a layer of batting underneath the fabric. You will see damage at the top with some heavy glue residue which travels down the left hand side along the edge and next to the figure. A couple of tiny splits here and there but nothing major. Some small and one larger split at the right hand side. Fabric shows some heavier aged areas with some darker coloring. Still many small  areas in good condition and suitable for sewing.
 
Prefer leaving any cleaning up to the discretion of the customer.
