Probably one of the prettiest and most unique antique French textiles that I have come across in a long time.

This late 1700's early 1800's French cotton block print fabric. Larger stylized blossoms and sunlike motifs mixed with smaller florals in between.

Colors are light blue and white with madder red accents and a solid madder red background.

Full repeat.

Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.

Measurements

From top to bottom

1 meter 38 cm

The width is

80 cm (still has the selvage along both sides)

Condition

Left in as found condition and not laundered. You may want to give the fabric and cold water soak and wash to remove any dust.

Remarkable condition for age. One tiny patch at one side from the same material and one small repair close to the patch. I saw one tiny thin spot when held up to the light. Lightly quilted at one time so you sill see light traces of quilt lines.

Colors good and strong. No stains.
