A late 1700's early 1800's French siamoise block print fabric. Depicting stylized blossoms and leaves with artichoke. 
 
Colors are madder red and golden olive with motifs outlined in black. Natural light linen background.

Condiion
 
For it's age in good condition. One largish L shaped tear towards one corner. A couple of small holes and thin areas. Nothing major. 
 
Colors are strong and even. 
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and a cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
