A late 1700's early 1800's French siamoise block print fabric. Depicting stylized blossoms, leaves and fruit with a flying insect.
 
Colors are madder red and black. Natural light linen background.

Condiion
 
A couple of tiny holes and thin spots but overall good condition. 
 
Colors are strong and even. No stains.
 
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and a cold water wash using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents.
 
It is our aim to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being reproduced.
