Large panel 19th century French cotton print fabric. Repeating large motifs of florals which look a bit like peonies with smaller florals at the side. Long strands of florals, leaves and beads in between. 
 
Colors are creme with a natural red background.

Condition
 
For the most part in very good condition. The fabric was a curtain at one time. A few tiny pinholes. Rough edges at the top, right hand corner and bottom right hand corner. One small area at right hand edge with small holes and a small dark stain. Background red color has a bit of variation in color due to age. There is a 3.5 cm hem at the bottom. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
