A pair of early 1900's French stockings. Cotton. Black  in color with a woven white band around the top. A linen strap has been hand sewn to each stocking at the top. Monogram at the top back of each socking with cross stitch initial "LM" in white.

Used but still in good condition. 
 
Other than giving the socks a long cold water soak and a long cold water wash wash the socks have been left in as found condition.
