A pair of early 1900's French knitted stockings. Cotton. Black  in color. Mother of pearl button at the top of one stocking and a loop at the top of the other so the stockings can be held together.  Monogram at the top back of each socking with cross stitch initial "MLB."

Condition
 
Used but still in good condition. The only thing to note is an old darned repair in the toe of one of the stockings and one tiny piece of thread in the monogram has come loose. 
 
Other than giving the socks a long cold water soak and a long cold water wash wash the socks have been left in as found condition.
